What happens in the Fuze trailer?

The Fuze trailer sees the city of London being evacuated after an unexplored World War II bomb is found underneath a busy construction site. The synopsis continues, “Amid the escalating tension and chaos, a daring criminal operation is set in motion—one that uses the evacuation as cover for a meticulously planned heist. As authorities race against time to contain the crisis, alliances blur, and moral boundaries are crossed, the film deftly propels audiences through a series of calculated twists delivering a wildly entertaining ride.”

In addition to the aforementioned cast, the film also stars Saffron Hocking and Elham Ehsas. Mackenzie produces the movie alongside Sébastien Raybaud, Callum Christopher Grant, and Gillian Berrie.

Mackenzie is best known for directing Hell or High Water, the Taylor Sheridan-written crime thriller that was released in 2016 and stars Chris Pine, Jeff Bridges, and Ben Foster. He’s directed a handful of other movies throughout his career as well, including 2002’s The Last Great Wilderness, 2003’s Young Adam, 2005’s Asylum, 2007’s Hallam Foe, 2009’s Spread, 2011’s Perfect Sense, 2011’s You Instead, 2013’s Starred Up, 2018’s Outlaw King, and 2024’s Relay.

The script for Fuze comes from Ben Hopkins, who also wrote the screenplay for 2023’s Inside starring Willem Dafoe. Additionally, Hopkins wrote and directed 1999’s Simon Magus, 2000’s The Nine Lives of Tomas Katz, 2008’s The Market: A tale of Trade, and 2014’s Lost in Karastan.

Fuze will be released in United States theaters on April 24, 2026.
