Multiple Super Mario Galaxy Movie Popcorn Buckets Revealed
Several theater chains have unveiled a first look at their Super Mario Galaxy Movie-themed popcorn buckets and other merchandise weeks ahead of the movie’s release. The merchandise features adorable designs inspired by some of the franchise’s most iconic characters.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie gets its popcorn buckets
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is a sequel to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie. While there are still a few weeks until it premieres in cinemas on April 1, 2026, theater chains have revealed designs for their popcorn buckets and other merchandise to be released alongside the movie.
The highly anticipated popcorn buckets will be released in three designs. The first one is a Yoshi-themed container, featuring Yoshi holding an egg that opens into a 105oz popcorn bucket. This will be available across several cinemas, including Regal, Cinemark, and AMC. Notably, the price has not yet been made public.
The second one is a keychain-sized Bowser’s Cauldron. It is a nod to his shrunken form in the upcoming movie. The cost of this bucket is also currently under wraps. However, Cinemark is offering the Cauldron along with a mini poster, 1 Luma push pin, medium-sized beverage, and a movie-themed popcorn tub on the purchase of a Super Ticket for $35.
The final popcorn bucket is a Luma-inspired star-shaped LED bucket. It has a 105oz capacity with a latch at the back, and is available in four colors: green, red, yellow, and blue. An orange Luma popcorn bucket is currently available for pre-order on Fandango’s FanStore for $49.99, which also includes one movie ticket.
In addition to the popcorn buckets, theater chains will also be selling other merchandise and themed food and beverages. Cinemark’s store will include a 44oz souvenir cup, a throw blanket, a Luma plushie bag clip, a 130 oz round popcorn tin, and a 170 oz square popcorn tub.
Meanwhile, Regal will feature a Super Mario thermos. Additionally, it will offer Mario-themed beverages like Peach Freeze ICEE and Star Power Cherry ICEE, along with Super Mario Galaxy Feastable candies.
