ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for Ashes, the upcoming crime thriller movie from Indican Pictures. The film will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on April 7, 2026.
“US Army veteran Matt Benning returns home from Afghanistan to a wrecked economy, a family that doesn’t understand him, and PTSD. While the demons of war haunt him, he finds solace with a young woman, Brandi, who is trying to outrun her own problems. As the romance blossoms, Matt finds himself dragged into a vortex of drugs and violence, and left with only a few options. He ends up working for a psychopathic meth dealer who lands him in further trouble. Now on the run, his only escape is into the unforgiving desolation of crime.

What happens in the Ashes trailer?
The video introduces Matt Benning, an army veteran suffering from PTSD, as he finds solace and comfort in Brandi, a woman who drags him into a life of crime. The trailer highlights his toxic relationship with Brandi, as the pair commits different kinds of crimes, including dealing drugs. It offers a glimpse of how much worse their situation will get.
Ashes is written, produced, and directed by award-winning filmmaker Adrian Bartol (American Desert), who’s also serving as the cinematographer. The movie stars Will Brandt (Animal Kingdom, Jane the Virgin) as Matt, Ruby Modine (Happy Death Day), Robert LaSardo (The Mule) as Joe, Harry Eden (Oliver Twist) as Harry, Gio Randazzo (Hacks) as Tony, Elena Sahagun (American Deser) as Linda, and more. It is executive-produced by editor Randolph Kret. It has a total runtime of 81 minutes.
