Corey Feldman Opens up on Oscars Not Inviting Him to Rob Reiner Tribute
Corey Feldman recently alleged that the Oscars did not invite him to participate in a planned tribute for the late Rob Reiner at the upcoming awards show broadcast.
What did Corey Feldman say about not being invited to the Rob Reiner tribute?
In a recent post on X, Feldman addressed concerns that he was not invited to a planned tribute to Reiner, who was shockingly killed in December 2025. The tribute for the legendary filmmaker is set to include other stars from Reiner’s past movies, including Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan, according to Variety.
In his post, Feldman said that he wasn’t invited to the show, and believes it has something to do with the fact that he’s been outspoken about the abuse he’s suffered in the past. Despite this, Feldman says the focus of everything should still be on Reiner and his memory.
“I just want to briefly mention this Oscars thing! Yes, it’s true that I was not invited,” Feldman’s post read. “I understand many believe it’s due to being outspoken about the abuse I suffered as a child and the campaign to silence me. However, this isn’t about me. It’s not my moment at all. It’s about the tragic loss of our friend Rob Reiner and his memory.
“As much I appreciate all support, it’s very sweet of you… but please stop. Please take down any petitions to push for my presence at the awards,” he continued. “They don’t need me there. Will and Jerry got this I’m sure. They will do a fantastic job… I’ll honor Rob my own way.”
Feldman was a star in Reiner’s classic 1986 movie Stand By Me. While not confirmed, Feldman’s post seems to allege that both Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton will be on hand for the Academy Awards to honor Reiner.
