Alan Ritchson’s New Netflix Action Movie Out Today Is Perfect for Reacher Fans

While waiting for the newest season of Reacher, Alan Ritchson fans can now watch the action star in Netflix‘s newly-released sci-fi thriller movie. As of today, Ritchson’s War Machine movie is finally available to stream on Netflix. It features the Reacher actor as a soldier who encounters an unexpected extraterrestrial threat during his training for the US Army Rangers.

What do we know about Alan Ritchson’s new Netflix action movie?

“During the final stage of US Army Ranger selection, an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

War Machine was directed by Patrick Hughes, who also co-wrote the screenplay with James Beaufort. Joining Ritchson in the action movie are Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point), Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk), Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), Esai Morales (Bad Boys), Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale (The Flash), and Daniel Webber. It was a production by Lionsgate.

Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman and Alexander Young were producing, along with Patrick Hughes and Greg McLean for HUGE FILM, and Rich Cook for Range. The film was also executive-produced by Valerie Bleth Sharp. The creative team included cinematographer Aaron Morton, editor Andy Canny, composer Dmitri Golovko, production designer Enzo Iacono, costume designer Cappi Ireland, and set decorator Emma Rudkin.

Besides War Machine, Ritchson will next be seen starring opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Amazon MGM Studios’ action comedy movie The Man with the Bag. In addition, Ritchson is also currently attached to lead the upcoming action thriller film Runner with Owen Wilson.
