Jason Statham Action-Thriller From Guy Ritchie To Leave Netflix

Jason Statham’s underrated action film will leave Netflix this month. It has an overwhelmingly positive rating on a review-aggregator site. Moreover, this marked the fourth time Statham collaborated with Guy Ritchie, having previously produced classics that date back to 1998.

Wrath of Man leaves Netflix in March

2021’s Wrath of Man is leaving Netflix’s library on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

It follows a highly skilled man named Patrick “H” Hill, who takes a job at a Los Angeles cash-truck company called Fortico Security. Unbeknownst to his colleagues, he has a mysterious past. During a robbery attempt, H shocks his co-workers by effortlessly killing multiple armed robbers all alone. His actions prompt others to become suspicious of him.

Guy Ritchie helmed the movie and also co-wrote it with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. It is a remake of the 2004 French movie, Cash Truck. The film’s cast includes Jason Statham as Patrick Hill, Holt McCallany as Haydn Blair, Scott Eastwood as Jan, Jeffrey Donovan as Jackson Ainsley, and Josh Hartnett as Dave Hancock, among others.

The director also reunited with Christopher Benstead for the film’s score. They previously worked on 2019’s The Gentlemen, starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, and Colin Farrell.

Wrath of Man was initially reported to release on January 15, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date was pushed to April 21, but it was ultimately released on May 7, 2021. In the United Kingdom, however, after multiple delays, it went straight to Amazon Prime Video on December 10, 2021.

Upon release, the film received a favorable reception, earning an approval rating of 68% from critics and 90% from users on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, the Box Office Mojo reported that the film earned roughly $104 globally.

Before working on Wrath of Man, Ritchie and Statham worked on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998, Snatch in 2000, and Revolver in 2005. All three movies were well received by both audiences and critics. Furthermore, Snatch developed a massive cult following for its dark, twisted comedy.
