Action-Packed Crime TV Show Double Stakes Trailer Sets US Release Date | Exclusive

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for the upcoming U.S. debut of Viaplay International’s crime drama series Double Stakes. The eight-part action thriller hails from the Ukrainian Producers Hub.

“It follows a soldier who after being discharged from the front, challenges the circles of crime and corrupt officials in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. On the very first day of his return from the front, Igor Shvedov sees his older brother, the only person dear to him, killed before his eyes,” reads the show’s official synopsis. “Unexpectedly, he learns that his brother was an influential criminal mastermind and starts suspecting that the people in his circle are not at all who they pretend to be. To find his brother’s killer, he joins the police and begins his war against organized crime and bent cops.”

When is the US release date for Double Stakes?

Double Stakes will finally start streaming in the U.S. on Thursday, March 19 on Viaplay. The show is described as “a bold new entry in the global crime drama landscape which blends the moody atmospherics of Nordic Noir with the gritty realism of a modern Ukraine.”

The series is written by Dmitriy Lysenko, Vasiliy Popov, and Igor Shvetsov, with Andrey Ivanov serving as its director.
