Social Media Star & Actor Cast in Andor Creator’s Next & 2 Other Movies

A social media star and actor is expanding his film slate with three new studio-backed projects ahead of a busy production cycle. The digital creator has joined features spanning drama, romantic comedy and dark comedy. These roles position him alongside established talent as the films move through development and pre-production.

Adam Rose cast in three upcoming movies

Deadline reports that Adam Rose has joined the casts of three upcoming films: Behemoth!, Goodbye Girl and My New Friend Jim. Searchlight Pictures, Amazon MGM Studios and Sumerian Pictures are backing the respective projects. With these additions, Rose expands his presence across multiple studio-backed features in various stages of active development.a

Tony Gilroy wrote and directed Behemoth!, which follows a musician from a multigenerational musical family as he returns to Los Angeles. The film pays tribute to movie music and the artists who create it. Pedro Pascal, Will Arnett, Olivia Wilde and Matthew Lillard lead the ensemble cast. Searchlight Pictures backs the project as it moves through production stages.

Oran Zegman directed Goodbye Girl, a romantic comedy starring Kiernan Shipka and Cole Sprouse. The story follows a woman hired to end relationships for clients. She develops feelings for a groom she is assigned to leave just days before his wedding. Gulfstream Pictures financed and produced the film. Danielle Hoover and David Monahan wrote the screenplay from a story they created with Jessica Elbaum.

My New Friend Jim, directed by Ash Avildsen, stars Rob Lowe and Keith David. The film follows two fathers from contrasting backgrounds who team up in Reno while searching for a missing daughter. Rose has appeared in more than 30 television series and films, including Up in the Air and The Squid and the Whale, and recently featured in My Weird School for Paramount and Nickelodeon. He also commands more than 30 million followers across his social media platforms.
