Searchlight Pictures has officially revealed The Testament of Ann Lee digital release date, revealing when the movie many believe to be an Oscars snub will become available to watch at home.

The Testament of Ann Lee digital release date is set for March 10, 2026, when the film will be available to watch via digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and more.

Alongside the digital release, the movie will also get a new bonus feature at home in the form of an inside look at the movie. Dubbed “a special look,” fans at home can “join filmmakers and cast members – including director/co-writer Mona Fastvold and actor Amanda Seyfried – for a behind-the-scenes look at making this original film about compassion, empathy, community and one woman’s charismatic leadership in founding the Shaker movement. Learn details about the research, set design, cinematography, choreography, music and costume design that create the film’s spellbinding and extraordinary look and feel.”

“Based on a true legend, The Testament of Ann Lee depicts the story of the founder of the devotional sect known as the Shakers. Amanda Seyfried stars as the Shaker’s revered, irrepressible leader who preaches gender and social equality. With reimagined Shaker hymns, the film captures Lee’s ecstasy and agony in her quest to build a utopia,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

For her role in the movie, Seyfried was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy, but was not nominated for an Academy Award.

The movie is directed by Mona Fastvold (The World to Come, The Brutalist), who co-wrote the screenplay with Brady Corbet. Alongside Seyfried, the ensemble cast includes Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher Abbott, Stacy Martin, Matthew Beard, Viola Prettejohn, and more. It is produced by Corbet, Fastvold, Andrew Morrison, Joshua Horsfield, Viktória Petrányi, Gregory Jankilevitsch, Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska, Lillian LaSalle, and Mark Lampert.
