ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for Refuge, Saban Films‘ upcoming thriller drama from Icelandic filmmaker Anton Sigurðsson. The R-rated movie will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on March 27, 2026.

“Four estranged friends reunite on a fishing trip, but a missing child and a desperate father’s accusation turn reunion into a deadly reckoning,” reads the movie’s synopsis.

What happens in the Refuge trailer?

The video shows a group of friends going on a fishing trip, which turns out to be a deadly trap set up by one of them. Convinced that his three friends from high school are somehow involved in his young daughter’s disappearance, a desperate father will do everything he can to get the answers he needs. The trailer offers a glimpse of the brutal things he will do to each of his friends for the sake of finding his daughter.

Refuge is an eerie suspense thriller that explores “themes of loyalty, guilt, and the extremes people will go to protect themselves.” The film is written and directed by Sigurdsson, who is also serving as a producer alongside Wes Hull, Jason Armstrong, and Erlingur Jack Gudmundsson. The cast includes Adam Sinclair as Sam, Donald Paul as Barry, Adam Dorsey as Mike, and Christopher Dietrick as Jay.

The creative team consists of cinematographer Gunnar Auðunn Jóhannsson, editor Sharif M. Es. Ali, composer Yu Miyashita, and production designer Jarrett Staaf. Executive producers are Sara Hamilton, Diana Hull, Dustin Schoenfeld, and Cory Tucek. It has a total runtime of 87 minutes.
