Reports claim Crispin Glover faces lawsuit accusing battery, fraud and more
Crispin Glover, known for playing George McFly in Back to the Future, has been accused of a “disturbing series of incidents” involving an unnamed former partner.
According to the complaint reviewed by Entertainment Weekly, the allegations span years. It claims Glover lured the woman to the United States under pretenses. He promised her a job as his assistant and a place to live. Instead, the complainant alleges she was placed in a “disturbing situation” where Glover reportedly tracked her, assaulted her, and pressured her to “serve him as a live-in girlfriend/sex slave.”
The reported legal filing accuses Glover of several charges. It includes battery, fraud, wrongful eviction, malicious prosecution, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. It also alleges violations of the Tom Bane Civil Rights Act. Jane Doe is seeking a jury trial and damages for her suffering. She claims she continues to experience “great pain of mind and body, shock, emotional distress, [and] physical manifestations of emotional distress.”
The complaint details a years-long interaction that began online in 2015. It claims that after exchanging messages for years, Glover pressured her to move to Los Angeles. After she relocated in 2024, the situation allegedly deteriorated, with Glover coercing her to live with him, making “increasingly bizarre and inappropriate demands,” and physically attacking her, leaving a scar on her neck.
It further alleges that when she tried to leave, Glover wrongfully evicted her. He locked her out of the home while her cats were still inside, rendering her homeless. It also claims that a restraining order Glover filed against her was “malicious” and “fraudulent,” and that it was dismissed after he failed to appear in court (via Parade).
An attorney for Crispin Glover has strongly denied the allegations.
