Terrifier 4 Gets Big Update From Director, Will Be a ‘Challenging’ Finale
Terrifier 4 has received a big update from director Damien Leone.
Terrifier is a horror movie franchise that stars David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown. The first Terrifier movie was released in 2016, followed by Terrifier 2 in 2022 and Terrifier 3 in 2024. Before that, the Art the Clown character appeared in a handful of short films.
A fourth terrified movie is now in the works, though no release date has yet been set. Leone, who has directed all of the feature films in the franchise thus far, has previously said that Terrifier 4 will likely serve as the series’ finale.
What did Damien Leone say about Terrifier 4?
While fans have been anxiously waiting for some concrete news about Terrifier 4, Leone shared a substantial update with them on Twitter.
“Since there’s so much Terrifier 4 speculation and false information out there, I wanted to drop in and give an official update,” Leone wrote. “The script is very close to completion, and I’m hoping to begin pre-production this spring. This is the most precious script I’ve written for many reasons, but it’s also the most challenging. There’s a lot of material to tackle and a lot riding on this one, not just creatively but emotionally.
“We’ve built something special together over the years. The cast and crew who have been here since the beginning deserve a finale that honors their dedication, and the fans who’ve championed this franchise deserve something unforgettable.
“In all honesty, I’m thrilled with the way it’s turning out and confident it will deliver. I will officially announce when the script is complete on my social media pages, which also means we’ll be moving into pre-production. If you don’t see it coming from or confirmed by men, then it’s not official. Thank you for your patience. I promise it will be worth the wait!”
All three Terrifier movies are currently available to stream on Prime Video.
