Clika 10-Minute Preview for Latin Music Movie Starring Herencia de Patrones’ JayDee | Exclusive
ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive 10-minute preview of Clika, the upcoming semi-autobiographical drama starring singer JayDee in his feature acting debut. The clip shows the first ten minutes of the film, featuring JayDee as a small-town musician who’s forced to set his dreams aside to help his mother.
“The film follows an aspiring small-town musician, Chito, who is determined to make it big. When a clip of him performing one of his songs goes viral, he seizes the opportunity and pushes to carve out a place for himself in the new wave of Mexican-American music… and ultimately gets caught in a game more dangerous than anticipated. In a story of ambition, tradition, and self-discovery, Chito is ultimately forced to confront the choices he’s made in his relentless pursuit to reach his dream,” reads the official synopsis.

When is the release date for Clika?
Following its world premiere last January 20 at the TCL Chinese Theater, Clika is now available to rent or own on digital platforms starting today. It will then be followed by its DVD release on March 31. Since its premiere, it has received a 91% Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes.
Clika is directed by Michael Greene, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sean McBride and Jimmy Humilde, based on a story by Greene, McBride, Ski-Ter Jones, and Humilde. The ensemble cast also includes Concrete, DoKnow, Laura Lopez, Nana Ponceleon, Percy “Master P” Miller, Peter Greene, and Eric Roberts. This marks the first movie from music producer Humilde’s record label Rancho Humilde. The film is produced by Humilde, McBride, Jones, Dave “Foots” Footman, and Lalo the Giant, with JayDee, Jose Becerra, and Roque Venegas serving as executive producers.
