Channing Tatum‘s crime movie, which became a hit with audiences and critics alike despite a modest box office performance, has found massive success on streaming. Thanks to strong viewership, the film has become one of the most-viewed movies on OTT platforms.

Roofman, starring Channing Tatum, is now the #3 movie on Amazon Prime Video globally, as of February 23, 2026 (via FlixPatrol). It has also been the #3 movie on Paramount+ in the United States for six consecutive days.
Accordingly, on Prime Video, the film is outranked by The Wrecking Crew (#1) and Love Me Love Me (#2). However, it surpasses Dwayne Johnson’s The Smashing Machine (#4), Apocalypto (#5), MR-9: Do or Die (#6), The Astronaut (#7), Ballerina (#8), Playdate (#9), and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (#10).
Roofman first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2025. It later hit theaters across the United States on October 10, 2025. Following its release, the film grossed an estimated $34.7 million at the worldwide box office against a modest budget of $19 million.
Boasting a runtime of 2 hours and 5-6 minutes, the film chronicles the true story of Jeffrey Manchester. However, the film utilizes some fictional elements in the narrative. Manchester gained notoriety for breaking into and entering McDonald’s storefronts through the roof. He also garnered attention for breaking into and living secretly in a Toys R Us store in North Carolina after a prison escape.
The film has garnered positive scores on review aggregator websites. It boasts a certified fresh score of 87% and an audience score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, the film has a “generally favorable” Metascore and user score of 66 and 7.0, respectively.
