Alan Ritchson’s Predator Replacement Movie to Coming to Netflix Soon

Alan Ritchson‘s new Netflix film is swiftly approaching its release date. While the film is yet to be added to the streaming giant’s catalog, it has generated considerable buzz through its trailer and stills shared by the lead actor. The film follows Ritchson’s previous film, the buddy action comedy Playdate, co-starring Kevin James.

Alan Ritchson-led War Machine is nearing its Netflix release date

Alan Ritchson’s War Machine arrives on Netflix on March 6, 2026. On February 3, ahead of the official trailer’s release, Ritchson gave fans their first glimpse at the film via a series of stills. The photos were accompanied by the Reacher star’s announcement that the trailer would drop soon.

The official trailer arrived on February 4, 2026, giving fans their first proper look at the titular character — a fearsome machine.

Following the trailer’s release, the film’s narrative and militaristic setting prompted fans to compare it to other notable films and video games with a similar style, such as Edge of Tomorrow and Metal Gear Solid. Notably, several fans have compared War Machine to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Predator. This is due to the War Machine being positioned as a terrifying threat similar to the eponymous antagonist of Schwarzenegger’s 1987 movie. Contributing to the similarity is the premise, which is rather similar to the latter film.

Ritchson confidently stated in a WIRED Autocomplete Interview last year that the film would be Netflix’s “biggest movie.” He added that the film would be a “monster” and labeled it “the coolest thing” the streamer has made.

War Machine’s logline reads, “During the final stage of U.S. Army Ranger selection, an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat.”

Patrick Hughes directed the film from his and James Beaufort’s screenplay. He also produced the film with Greg McLean via their HUGE FILM banner. Other producers include Todd Lieberman and Alexander Young of Hidden Pictures and Range’s Rich Cook. Valerie Bleth Sharp serves as an executive producer.

Alan Ritchson headlines the film as 81. Supporting cast members include Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber.
