Avengers Fans Have the Same 2 Reactions on Secret Wars’ Split Report
A new report suggests that Avengers: Secret Wars will not be split into 2 parts. However, this update has received a mixed reaction from Marvel fans online. Notably, the rumor that Secret Wars will be split into two parts first surfaced in January 2026.
Avengers: Secret Wars not splitting into two draws divisive reactions
Recently, Jeff Sneider stated that Marvel Studios has decided not to split Avengers: Secret Wars into 2 parts.
In his newsletter, the industry insider further added that the idea to release two parts of the movie is “not being seriously discussed” as it involves a heavy amount of cast and scheduling.
Before Sneider’s statement, other prominent insiders like Alex Perez and Daniel Richtman have claimed that Secret Wars is going to have two parts. Although there is no confirmation on this rumor from Marvel, fans on the internet are already divided.
User Willswarrior stated on X (formerly Twitter), “It’s too predictable if it’s following the Infinity War/Endgame approach. Hero’s lose in the 1st, come back and win in the 2nd. Making it a trilogy would be so much better.”
User LeesCosplays said it was a “shame” that Marvel is not splitting Secret Wars. Another user named SGTSmith1981 suggested, “Make one long 6 hour movie and split it.” Moreover, a third Marvel fan in favor of the split wrote, “Secret Wars is too big for a single a– movie though.”
Insider My Time To Shine Hello also gave her opinion and added, “They should split it into 3 parts and a tv show.”
Meanwhile, some netizens were against the idea of splitting Secret Wars. A user noted, “Good. We don’t need 2 tbh. Doomsday is the first part anyways.” Furthermore, user Evert Rodrigues tweeted, “Avengers: Secret Wars will be the only movie, even if it’s over 3 hours long.”
Yet another fan stated, “We don’t need two films .. just give us one long a– movie lol.”
Helmed by the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to hit theaters on December 17, 2027.
