More than a decade after its theatrical debut, Valentine’s Day is once again commanding attention on streaming platforms. The film, which earned more than $216 million worldwide at the box office and features Anne Hathaway among its star-studded cast, is now outperforming several high-profile projects.

Valentine’s Day has returned to prominence on streaming platforms this February. It is currently ranked number 2 on HBO Max’s streaming chart as of February 18, 2026, according to Flix Patrol

The film has been performing strongly in the United States, where it has held the number 1 position since February 16. In Australia and the Netherlands, it is placed at number 2 on HBO Max’s Top 10 list this week. The film is trending on Netflix as well. On February 18, it ranked number 10 on the platform’s Top Movies chart.

The story takes place in Los Angeles and follows multiple couples and singles over the course of Valentine’s Day. It brings together a wide range of characters, from long married couples confronting strain to teenagers planning first romantic milestones.

A young boy searches for the perfect way to express his feelings; a sports reporter is assigned to cover love stories across the city; and strangers form unexpected connections. The events unfold from morning until midnight as each character deals with the pressures and expectations of the holiday.

The cast includes Jessica Alba as Morley Clarkson, Kathy Bates as Susan Moralez, Anne Hathaway as Liz Curran, Carter Jenkins as Alex Franklin, Ashton Kutcher as Reed Bennett and Queen Latifah as Paula Thomas, among others.

The film received largely negative reviews. It holds an 18 percent critics score based on 187 reviews and a 47 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and has an 18% score on Tomatometer.

Despite the critical response, the film was a commercial success. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned more than $216 million worldwide. This includes $110.5 million domestically and $106 million from international theaters.
