4 Iconic Shah Rukh Khan Movies Are Leaving Netflix Soon
Four Indian films starring Shah Rukh Khan are leaving Netflix next month. Beyond their box-office milestones, these films have had a significant cultural impact and have become landmarks in Indian cinema.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and three other Shah Rukh Khan movies are leaving Netflix in March
Netflix is delisting Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna from its platform on Sunday, March 1, 2026. This move marks the end of an era for viewers who have often revisited these films on the streaming service.
Released between 1998 and 2006, all four films continued to build on Shah Rukh Khan’s existing reputation as one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. He starred in these films, working with his long-time collaborator Karan Johar. Johar served as a co-writer and director for all but Kal Ho Naa Ho. He co-wrote that with Niranjan Iyengar. Nonetheless, he has remained a significant part of all four projects.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) redefined Bollywood with its college-romance drama, which continues to resonate with audiences even today. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) doubles down on the importance of family with a star-studded cast in a lavish setting.
Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), on the other hand, delivers a humorous yet poignant story backed by strong performances and a memorable soundtrack. And Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) takes a mature turn, exploring themes of difficult marriage and infidelity.
Across all four movies, Khan played prominent roles alongside other popular actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, and Abhishek Bachchan, among others.
Despite being more than two decades old, audiences continue to revisit these movies for their story, music, dialogue, and nostalgia. As a result, the Netflix exit has prompted renewed interest in viewers rewatching the movies. Those who haven’t seen these films have until the end of this month to watch them. Currently, there is no information on which platform they’ll land on next.
