Halle Berry is sad for missing Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel Studios is bringing back several characters from Fox’s X Men era for its upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, but Halle Berry’s Storm will not be among them. Berry, who portrayed the mutant in the original film trilogy, has confirmed that she is not involved in the project.

Berry addressed the subject in a recent interview with ScreenRant. Reflecting on her legacy in the franchise, the actress said, “Yeah, I love that. Storm is a very special character to me. I’ve been so blessed when I gotten to play her.”

She continued by discussing why the X Men films remain important to her personally and to her family. “I think the whole world of the X-Men and being mutants and outcasts. And there’ve been movies that I’ve been proud to have my children watch. They have so much to say that I thought has been really important, especially for my children as they’ve grown. So they’re beloved,” the actress said.

Although she confirmed she will not appear in Avengers: Doomsday, Berry suggested she would welcome another opportunity to return to the Marvel universe in the future. She said, “And while I’m sad I won’t be in Doomsday this round, there are other rounds. And I would do that in a heartbeat.”

Berry’s reference to “other rounds” has reportedly prompted speculation among fans about whether she could be involved in potential reshoots or future Marvel projects, especially since studios often keep casting plans private. However, as of now, the studio has not confirmed any further involvement.
