Kevin Feige’s Marvel Future Gets Promising Update Ahead of New Avengers Movies

With Disney officially finding a successor to CEO Bob Iger, the topic of Kevin Feige’s status within the company and at the helm of Marvel has popped up.

What is the new Kevin Feige Marvel update?

Disney recently named Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro as the successor to Bob Iger and Dana Walden as President and CEO of the company in March. In a recent report from Deadline on the new changes at Disney, Feige’s name was mentioned.

Deadline notes there will be “movie-side questions” that have to be addressed when D’Amaro takes over. One of these divisions is Marvel, which is run by Feige. While Feige’s departure from Marvel Studios is always a rumored topic, the report notes that it isn’t happening anytime soon.

Deadline mentions that Feige is still focused on delivering the next Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday, as well as being behind the relaunch of the X-Men universe in the MCU. Deadline specifically notes that Feige won’t be leaving “anytime soon,” so it doesn’t seem like Marvel Studios will have any shakeup inside of it just yet.

Up next for the world of the MCU is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to release on July 31, 2026. After that, Avengers: Doomsday will release on December 18, 2026, and a year later, on December 17, 2027, its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, will release. Other films reported to be in development in the MCU is a third Black Panther, a Shang-Chi sequel, and the eventual X-Men movie, which is set to be directed by Jake Schreier.
