Alan Ritchson Looks Like a War Machine in New Sci-Fi Action Movie Photos

Reacher star Alan Ritchson recently shared some stills from his new film, War Machine, on Instagram. The photos offer a taste of the action sequences and character interactions fans can expect from the movie. The upcoming sci-fi action adventure hits Netflix next month. Apart from Ritchson, the film’s cast includes Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, and Keiynan Lonsdale, among many others.

Alan Ritchson reveals first photos for Netflix’s War Machine

Alan Ritchson shared some photos on Instagram that offer a first look at War Machine. He also teased that the trailer’s arrival was imminent.

“Here’s a first look at War Machine. Stay tuned… trailer drops very soon. This one’s a doozy,” Ritchson captioned the post.

Ritchson, who is playing a Special Operations soldier in the film, sports a rugged look in the photos. In the first photo, Ritchson’s character looks muddied and disoriented as he walks away from a military vehicle. Meanwhile, the second photo, where the 43-year-old actor sports a beard, shows him looking at Jai Courtney’s character, a fellow soldier, who is looking to the side.

The third image shows Ritchson’s character with fellow soldiers bracing for an imminent attack, with his right hand covering another soldier’s mouth.

The fourth photo shows Ritchson’s character and other soldiers running while holding a dead soldier’s body in a casket and evading what seems to be bomb attacks. Meanwhile, the fifth picture shows a tense interaction between Ritchson’s and Dennis Quaid’s characters, witnessed by Esai Morales’ character.

The sixth image shows Ritchson’s character and other soldiers doing pull-ups as part of their training exercise. Meanwhile, the seventh picture shows Stephan James’ character on a battlefield preparing for an attack, while the eighth shows Ritchson’s character hanging on a rope.

The last photo shows Ritchson’s character carrying another soldier while standing at a picturesque location with hills and sunlight hitting his back.

War Machine arrives on Netflix on March 6, 2026. Last year, Ritchson teased in a WIRED Autocomplete Interview while discussing his upcoming films that the film is the streaming service’s “biggest movie.” He added, “This movie is gonna be a monster. This is the coolest thing they’ve ever made, guaranteed.”

Patrick Hughes directed the movie from his and James Beaufort’s screenplay. He also co-produced the film with Todd Lieberman and Alex Young.
