Rashida Jones & Kate McKinnon Star in Oscar Winner’s Hulu Sci-Fi Movie Trailer

Searchlight Pictures has shared the official trailer for In the Blink of an Eye, the upcoming sci-fi anthology drama from Finding Nemo and Wall-E director Andrew Stanton. Following its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, the movie is now set to stream on Hulu starting on February 27.

“Three storylines, spanning thousands of years, intersect and reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life,” reads the movie’s official logline.

What happens in Hulu’s In the Blink of an Eye trailer?

The video highlights three different stories that explore the history of the world. It introduces each story’s main cast, including Golden Globe nominee Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation) as Claire and Emmy winner Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) as Coakley. The trailer also teases how these three stories will interconnect with each other, despite the different time frames and settings. The movie also stars Daveed Diggs as Greg, Jorge Vargas as Neanderthal Father, Tanaya Beatty as Neanderthal Mother, Skywalker Hughes as Neanderthal Daughter, Tatyana Rose Baptiste as Neanderthal Daughter, and Yeji Kim as V.

In the Blink of an Eye is directed by Stanton, with Colby Day writing the screenplay. This marks the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s second time directing a live-action feature-length project, after 2012’s action fantasy movie John Carter. After the upcoming Hulu film, Stanton’s next directorial movie is Pixar’s highly anticipated Toy Story 5. The movie is produced by Jared Ian Goldman.
