HBO Max Adds 1 of 2025’s Most Acclaimed Movies Today
One of 2025’s critically acclaimed movies, led by Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne, has just been added to HBO Max‘s library. For her leading performance as Linda in the A24 movie, Byrne recently won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

As of today, Byrne’s psychological comedy-drama movie If I Had Legs I’d Kick You is officially available to stream, exclusively on HBO Max. This comes ahead of the upcoming 2026 Academy Awards, where Byrne is currently nominated for Best Actress. Since the film’s theatrical debut last October 10, it received a Certified Fresh score of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 192 reviews.
“With her life crashing down around her, Linda attempts to navigate her child’s mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person, and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist,” reads the official synopsis.
If I Had Legs I’d Kick You was written and directed by Mary Bronstein. The film also starred Conan O’Brien as Linda’s therapist, Daniel Macdonald as Caroline, ASAP Rocky as James, Ivy Wolk as Diana, and Daniel Zolghadri as Stephen, with Christian Slater as the voice of Linda’s husband. Additional cast members included Lark White, Ronald Bronstein, Josh Pais, Eva Kornet, Mark Stolzenberg, Helen Hong, Ella Beatty, Manu Narayan, and Amy Judd Lieberman.
Byrne also served as an executive producer alongside Bronstein. It was produced by Bronstein, Eli Bush, Richie Doyle, Conor Hannon, Sara Murphy, Josh Safdie, and Ryan Zacarias. The creative team also consisted of director of photography Christopher Messina and editor Lucian Johnston. Before her Golden Globe win, Byrne also won the Silver Bear Award for Best Leading Performance at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
