1 of 2020s’ Creepiest Horror Movies Is Coming To Hulu Soon

One of the most talked-about horror movies of the 2020s is headed to streaming. Smile, the psychological thriller that went on to become box-office success, is set to arrive on Hulu soon. It will give subscribers another chance to watch Parker Finn’s chilling debut.

Smile to stream on Hulu next month

Hulu has confirmed that the psychological horror hit Smile will arrive on the platform next month, giving subscribers a new chance to watch the horror movie. According to What’s on Disney Plus, the film is scheduled to begin streaming on February 16, 2026. The film, which premiered theatrically in the United States on September 30, was written and directed by Parker Finn. 

Smile follows Dr. Rose Cotter, a dedicated psychiatrist who has spent years burying her own childhood trauma while caring for vulnerable patients. Her routine is disrupted after she witnesses a bizarre and deeply unsettling episode involving a young woman named Laura. Soon afterward, Rose begins experiencing a series of frightening encounters that cause her to question her sanity.

As the incidents escalate, she finds herself losing her grip on reality. Overwhelmed, Rose realizes she must confront the painful events of her past in order to survive. Sosie Bacon leads the cast as Dr. Cotter in the psychological thriller. She is joined by Kyle Gallner as Joel, Jessie T. Usher as Trevor, Robin Weigert as Dr. Madeline Northcott, Caitlin Stasey as Laura Weaver and Kal Penn as Dr. Morgan Desai, among others.

Upon release, Smile drew generally favorable reviews from critics and audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently holds an 80 percent critics’ score based on 196 reviews, alongside a 77 percent audience rating on the platform’s Popcornmeter. The movie also earned more than $217 million globally, according to Box Office Mojo.

With its Hulu arrival scheduled for February, the film will reach a wider streaming audience.
