Disney+ & Netflix Claim 2025’s Most-Streamed TV Show & Movie
Disney and Netflix have taken the top spot for the most-streamed television show and movie of 2025, respectively.
What were 2025’s most-streamed TV show and movie?
For the second year in a row, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the children’s series Bluey is the most-streamed TV show of 2025. According to a new report from Variety, per Nielsen numbers, Bluey has been watched for a staggering 45 billion minutes in 2025. That number is even more shocking considering the fact that episodes of the show are only about 10 minutes long.
Bluey began airing in 2018 on ABC Kids, and is now one of the biggest children’s shows ever. The series follows the adventures of Bluey, a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy, and her family. The series has a wide-ranging development of merchandise, a stage show, and a film in development for 2027. The series is streaming in its entirety on Disney+.
On the movie side, Netflix takes the top of the charts. Their smash hit KPop Demon Hunters was by far the most-streamed movie of 2025. According to the same Nielsen numbers via Variety, KPop Demon Hunters had 20.5 billion minutes watched in the U.S. alone, assuring that the worldwide numbers likely push the film up into even more outstanding territory.
Originally released in 2025, KPop Demon Hunters was directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and starred Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Lee Byung-hun. The film follows the story of a K-pop girl group, Huntr/x, that double as demon hunters who use their music to face off against their foes.
The film was a massive success upon its release. Since its release in June, KPop Demon Hunters has become the most-watched original title in Netflix history, and its soundtrack has also received Platinum certification from the RIAA. To date, the soundtrack continues to be massively successful, and is the first soundtrack with four simultaneous Top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
The movie has also garnered tons of awards, with the film winning Best Motion Picture – Animated at the Golden Globes, and the song “Golden” also winning Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.
