Honey Don’t! begins streaming on Netflix soon

Netflix will soon bring Ethan Coen’s dark comedy mystery Honey Don’t! to subscribers. According to What’s on Netflix, the film is scheduled to arrive on the service on February 3, 2026. Headlined by Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, and Chris Evans, the R-rated feature makes its streaming debut months after completing its theatrical run.

Set in Bakersfield, California, the film follows Honey O’Donahue, a small-town private investigator, as she investigates a woman’s suspicious car crash shortly before the two were supposed to meet. Although she is not officially hired, Honey continues digging and uncovers a series of unusual deaths connected to a secretive church and its leaders. Her search also leads to an unexpected romantic involvement.

Qualley stars as Honey, while Plaza plays MG Falcone and Evans appears as Reverend Drew Devlin. The cast further includes Charlie Day as Marty Metakawich and Kristen Connolly as Heidi O’Donahue. The film was released in U.S. theaters on August 22, 2025, and drew mixed reviews from critics and audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, Honey Don’t! currently holds a 45 percent critics’ score from 176 reviews, alongside a 39 percent rating on the Popcornmeter.

Matt Brunson of Film Frenzy reported, “Honey Don’t! is a fraction or two better than last year’s Drive-Away Dolls, with a weaker storyline but stronger dialogue and more interesting characterizations.” He added, “The picture is full of throwaway bits, and the lackadaisical approach to the mystery is acceptable until it results in the story simply fizzling out.”
