Popular Spider-Man Spin-off Movie Now on Disney+

A divisive Spider-Man spin-off is making its way to Disney+ today as the streamer continues to collect all of the Spider-Man movies in one place.

What Spider-Man spin-off movie is now on Disney+?

2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage is now on Disney+. The movie, which is the sequel to 2018’s Venom, sees Tom Hardy’s Venom going up against the symbiote known as Carnage who takes over the body of Cletus Kasady.

The movie was divisive upon its release, mainly for the film’s portray of Carnage. Woody Harrelson portrayed the character, and the movie was met with mostly mixed reactions. It was directed by Andy Serkis and written by Kelly Marcel, and despite the mixed reactions, did do very well at the box office, grossing over $500 million and becoming the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2021.

Alongside Hardy, Venom: Let There Be Carnage also starred Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, Woody Harrelson as the maniacal serial killer Cletus Kasady/Carnage, and Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison/Shriek, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Peggy Lu.

“Eddie Brock struggles to adjust to his new life as the host of the alien symbiote Venom, which grants him super-human abilities in order to be a lethal vigilante. Brock attempts to reignite his career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage and escapes prison after a failed execution,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

Let There Be Carnage joins 2018’s Venom on Disney+. Currently, the third entry in the film, 2024’s Venom: The Last Dance, is not available on the streaming platform. It’s unclear if or when the movie will make its way to the streamer.
