Zack Snyder Reveals Justice League 2 & 3’s Epic Plot Details
Zack Snyder, who has been sharing previously unseen photos from his work in the DC Extended Universe on Instagram, recently offered glimpses at the storyboard for the unmade Justice League 2 and Justice League 3. In addition, he shared several photos from the set of Justice League, featuring the film’s core cast.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 and 3 plot details shared
Zack Snyder recently posted a photo carousel on Instagram, which includes photos reportedly from Justice League 2 and 3’s storyboard — shown in the fifth and sixth slides. Also shown in the carousel are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Hippolyta, and Cyborg actor Ray Fisher’s back.
He captioned the post, “2016 it’s a lot to take in.”
The storyboard for both parts begins with, “Back at the Batcave, Batman watches in horror as Darkseid takes full control of Superman. Superman turns on Batman, and he barely escapes!”
It continues, “Lex believes he’s won, but comes face-to-face with Superman. He looks at Lex with burning red eyes and lights him on fire. As Lex screams, the world goes red.”
The storyboard cuts to events taking place five years later, showing the Knightmare sequence explored in a small capacity in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder’s 2021 cut of Justice League. It starts with, “Sand dunes. Smoldering solar pits… Once, this was Gotham. Now, like the rest of Earth, it belongs to Darkseid.”
It continues, “Coming over the Dune, post-apocalyptic Batman (as seen in BvS), with a ragtag army of rebels – The surviving members of the Justice League walk over the rise of a Dune to see the dilapidated Wayne Manor. Batman leads them. Flash drags what’s left of Cyborg behind him.” It concludes, “Bruce looks up to the sky, grimly, ‘We need to get inside before night. He’s coming…'”
The storyboard then discusses Earth’s various forces uniting against Darkseid’s invasion. It starts with, “Darkseid’s full-scale invasion begins — And it’s too much for the Justice League to handle on their own — but they won’t have to.”
It continues, “Led and inspired by Superman, the countries of the world come together: armies, air forces, navies. Wonder Woman and her mother lead the Amazons off Themyscira. To join the war!”
The storyboard further states, “In the oceans, Aquaman pleads to the seven kingdoms, declaring there is an eighth — the surface world — And they must be allies, not enemies. The seven kingdoms rise to join the Amazons and the surface!”
