Star-Studded Horror Movie From Saw II Director Gets Twisted Trailer

Republic Pictures has shared the official trailer for Twisted, its upcoming horror thriller led by A Quiet Place II star Djimon Hounsou. The movie will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on February 6, 2026.

“From the director of Saw II and Spiral, a con artist’s real estate scam unravels into a nightmare when she’s captured by a surgeon with a terrifying plan,” reads the synopsis.

What happens in the Twisted trailer?

The video introduces Hounsou as a surgeon who has dark and sinister tendencies. He traps two young real estate con artists who scam people into buying expensive New York City apartments despite not owning them. The trailer highlights his brutal plans as he terrorizes them by mutilating their bodies through his surgical knowledge. It also offers a glimpse at some of the movie’s horrifying and gruesome sequences, teasing just how terrifying Hounsou’s character can be.

Twisted is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman from a screenplay written by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer. The ensemble cast also includes Lauren LaVera (Terrifier), Mia Healey (The Wilds), Neal McDonough (Tulsa King), Alicia Witt (Twin Peaks), Gina Philips (Jeepers Creepers), David Call, Michael Lombardi (The Deuce), and more. Executive producers are Lukas Behnken, Tevaughn Campbell, Thomas Fanning, David Gendron, and Viviana Zarragoitia.

The R-rated movie is produced by Mark Burg, Lee Nelson, and David Tish. The creative team consists of cinematographer Bella Gonzales, composer Mark Sayfritz, production designer Anthony Stabley, and set decorator Lily Bolles, along with costume designers Angela Jernigan and Gina Ruiz.
