Underrated DreamWorks Racing Movie To Leave Netflix Very Soon
A DreamWorks Animation racing movie is set to exit Netflix in the coming weeks. This gives subscribers a final chance to stream the animated film before it is removed from the platform. The upcoming removal gives a limited window for viewers to catch or rewatch the 2013 release before it disappears from the service.
Here are all the details on which movie is leaving the Netflix library and when this exit will take place.
Turbo to leave Netflix next month
DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo is set to exit Netflix next month, giving subscribers a short window to stream the animated film before it is removed from the platform. The film will no longer be available after February 1, 2026, making January the final month for viewers to watch it on Netflix.
Turbo centers on Theo, a garden snail who dreams of going fast in his slow-moving world. Obsessed with car racing, he adopts the name Turbo and dreams of speed. His life changes after a freak accident during a street race exposes him to nitrous oxide. This gives him the ability to move at extraordinary speeds. When his talent is discovered by a group of competitive snail racers, Turbo is given an unexpected chance to pursue his ultimate goal: competing in the Indianapolis 500.
The film features a high-profile voice cast, led by Ryan Reynolds as Turbo and Paul Giamatti as Chet Turbo. Supporting cast members include Michael Peña as Tito Lopez, Samuel L. Jackson as Whiplash, and Luis Guzmán as Angelo Lopez among others.
Released theatrically in the United States on July 17, 2013, Turbo received a 68 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.
While reviews for the film were mixed, the film found commercial success. It earned approximately $83 million domestically and nearly $200 million internationally. According to Box Office Mojo, the film grossed a global total of around $282 million.
