Avengers: Doomsday fans are loving Namor’s suit and look
Avengers: Doomsday Teaser 4 puts the spotlight on Namor, Black Panther, M’Baku, the Wakandans, and Talokans, while also featuring Fantastic Four’s Thing. The teaser offers a brief glimpse at Namor’s suit in the film, showing only the black high collar with gold trimming. Also shown is his new spear, whose tip glows blue and is different from the one he used in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Fans were impressed by the parts of the suit they saw and shared their reactions online.
Though he features prominently in the teaser, Namor has no dialogue. Meanwhile, Shuri provides the voiceover while M’Baku and Thing are the only characters with dialogue.
The teaser begins with Shuri noting that she has lost people who matter to her, referring to her mother Ramonda, whom Namor killed in Wakanda Forever, her father T’Chaka, who died in a bomb blast orchestrated by Helmut Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, and her brother T’Challa, who passed away at the beginning of Wakanda Forever from a terminal illness. She adds that she has her own duties while the King of Wakanda, M’Baku, has his. Shuri’s voiceover is accompanied by interspersed shots of Namor, Namora, and the Talokans.
The footage then cuts to M’Baku and Thing greeting each other before showing Shuri performing the Wakanda Forever gesture.
The extent of Namor’s role in Avengers: Doomsday is unclear. However, according to notable scooper MyTimetoShineHello, the Talokan king will reportedly share multiple scenes with Sue Storm — his romantic interest in the comics and other Marvel media — in the film.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 18, 2026. Anthony and Joe Russo directed the film from Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely’s screenplay. The Russos also co-produced the film with Marvel Studios via their production company, AGBO.
