Hugh Jackman Reveals Surprising ‘Top 5 Acting Exhibition’ He’s Seen in Song Sung Blue Bonus Clip
ComingSoon is excited to debut a Song Sung Blue bonus clip from the Neil Diamond movie‘s special features. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Thunder & Lightning, a Neil Diamond tribute band, and shows the hardships the family goes through. Song Sung Blue is available to buy or rent on Digital now and will be released on Blu-ray on February 17.
As the Song Sung Blue bonus features clip shows, Jackman was particularly wowed by the audition of Ella Anderson, who plays the daughter of Kate Hudson’s character in the film. The clip also profiles King Princess, who plays the daughter of Jackman’s character.
“Ella, I saw her audition. I was like, ‘I think this may be top five acting exhibitions I’ve ever seen,” said Jackman. “This is Daniel Day-Lewis, Mery Streep. This is extraordinary. That’s a teenager with roiling emotions, then she somehow becomes the adult in the room.”

Song Sung Blue was written and directed by Craig Brewer, who also served as a producer along with John Davis and John Fox. It is based on Greg Kohs’ 2008 documentary of the same name. The ensemble cast also included Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, Fisher Stevens, and Jim Belushi. The movie was executive-produced by Erika Hampson and Greg Kohs.
