New A24 Horror Movie Gets Unsettling Trailer
A24 has shared the official trailer for Undertone, the upcoming horror thriller led by The Handmaid’s Tale vet Nina Kiri as a podcast host who suddenly becomes haunted after listening to terrifying recordings mysteriously sent to her show.
Before its trailer release, the studio also previously released a teaser (which you can watch at the bottom of this post), featuring old drawings of children with an eerie audio playing in the background. Following its world premiere at the 2025 Fantasia Film Festival, the movie is now slated to arrive in theaters on March 13, 2026.

What do we know about the new A24 horror movie?
“The host of a popular paranormal podcast becomes haunted by terrifying recordings mysteriously sent her way,” reads the official synopsis.
Undertone is written and directed by Canadian filmmaker Ian Tuason in his feature directorial debut. Kiri will be the only cast member to be shown on-screen, while the rest of the cast will only be lending their voices. The movie will feature the voices of Kris Holden-Ried (The Umbrella Academy) as Justin, Michèle Duquet (The Virgin Suicides) as Mama, Keana Lyn Bastidas (The Hardy Boys) as Jessa, Jeff Yung (The Shrouds) as Mike, and more.
A24 acquired the worldwide rights to the movie through a competitive bidding war. The deal reportedly cost the studio around mid-7 figures. It is executive-produced by Steven Schneider and Roy Lee for Spooky Pictures, Chad Archibald for Black Fawn Films, Brit MacRae and Daril Fannin for Kino Studios, and DimensionGate. Producers are Dan Slater for Slaterverse Pictures and Cody Calahan for Black Fawn Films.
