Disney is currently developing a live-action remake of Tangled. The original animated movie was released in 2010 and features a voice cast of Mandy Moore as Rapunzel, Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider, and Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel.
Who has been cast in the live-action Tangled movie?
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the live-action Tangled movie has cast Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider.
Croft is best known for playing Raven in the live-action DC Titans shows, which ran for four seasons between 2018 and 2023. She also had a recurring role on an Australian soap opera called Home and Away in 2016, while her filmography includes 2016’s The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One and 2023’s True Spirit.
Manheim, meanwhile, plays Zed in Disney Television’s Zombies film franchise, while he also leads Paramount+’s School Spirits television series, which will premiere its third season later this month. Having finished in second place on Dancing with the Stars Season 27, Manheim starred in Journey to Bethlehem and Thanksgiving, both of which are movies that were released in 2023. Other TV shows he’s appeared in include American Housewife, The Conners, Platonic, and more.
The live-action Tangled movie is being directed by Michael Gracey, who previously made 2017’s The Greatest Showman, 2021’s Pink: All I Know So Far, and 2024’s Better Man. The script comes from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, while Kristin Burr serves as producer. The role of Mother Gothel has not yet been cast, though Scarlett Johansson was believed to have been circling the part before she ultimately dropped out of the project.
The live-action Tangled remake movie does not have a release date at this time. The original version of Tangled, meanwhile, can be streamed on Disney+.
