Some unreleased posters for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have emerged online.

DC Studios and Warner Bros. PicturesBatman v Superman was released in United States theaters in 2016. What do the unreleased Batman v Superman posters look like?

Artist Joshua Ecton has shared a number of previously unseen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice posters on his website. View some of them, via @TaurooAldebaran on Twitter, below:

Batman v. Superman is part of Warner Bros. Pictures’ DCEU, a shared universe that began in 2013 with Man of Steel, which was also directed by Snyder. Following the release of the film, an extended cut, called the Ultimate Edition, was put out. This version of the movie was 31 minutes longer and received an R-rating rather than a PG-13 one.

Batman v. Superman didn’t receive a direct sequel; rather, it led into the 2017 Justice League movie. That film had a notoriously controversial production and post-production, ultimately resulting in the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2021.

Other DCEU entries beyond that include 2016’s Suicide Squad, 2017’s Wonder Woman, 2018’s Aquaman, 2019’s Shazam!, 2020’s Birds of Prey, 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984, 2021’s The Suicide Squad, 2022’s Black Adam, 2023’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods, 2023’s The Flash, 2023’s Blue Beetle, and 2023’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

While DCEU officially ended with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures have since launched a new shared universe, the DCU, which is run by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Entries in that world so far include Creature Commandos Season 1, Superman, and Peacemaker Season 2.
