Bella Ramsey recently shared that they still want to take on the role of Spider-Man in the MCU while talking to Variety at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2026.
In a clip posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), a reporter reminded Ramsey of how their previous statements created a lot of online chatter after they first expressed their desire to play Spider-Man. Ramsey replied, “I forgot about that. Oh my gosh. That’s funny.” The journalist also asked the Game of Thrones star if they had further campaigned to be cast as the next Spider-Man.
They asserted, “I’m in the colors! And that was an accident. No, listen, it’s so funny. Just a passing comment can make such a stir, it turns out.” Ramsey communicated that they are up for the role and said, “I’m still up for it! But I haven’t actually thought twice about it since, to be honest.”
While speaking to Variety in August 2025, Ramsey was asked if they told their The Last of Us co-star, Pedro Pascal, if they wanted to be in the next MCU movie. To this, they stated, “I don’t know about that. I could be Spider-Man. Tom Holland did a great job, though. So maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me.” Ramsey also recalled watching one of Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man movies and said, “It was the first time I watched a Marvel film, and that was two months, three months ago. Incredible. I loved it.”
