Underrated Arnold Schwarzenegger Action Movie Is Leaving Netflix Very Soon

Netflix is ready with an exciting lineup of movies, TV series, and documentaries to bring to the streaming platform in 2026. However, many fan-favorite shows and movies will also leave the platform at the start of the new year, including Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s The Last Stand. This underrated 2013 film from the action star will soon leave Netflix along with a long list of other movies.

The Last Stand is leaving Netflix next month

As per What’s On Netflix, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 2013 action thriller The Last Stand will leave Netflix on January 1, 2026. The film follows Sheriff Ray Owens, who must team up with a group of his townsfolk to stop international drug lord Gabriel Cortez from crossing the U.S border and escaping to Mexico. Directed by Kim Jee-woon, the cast of the film includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander, Luis Guzmán, and Zach Gilford, among others.

After Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, The Last Stand marked Schwarzenegger’s first leading role following his return to Hollywood after serving as the Governor of California. The film received mixed reviews from critics but has developed a fan following over the years since its release.

The Last Stand will leave Netflix at the start of 2026, along with a list of other films from various genres. Some of the TV series set to leave Netflix on January 1st include 100 Days My Prince, Hotel Del Luna, Lost (Seasons 1-6), Star Trek: Prodigy (Season 2), and Tacoma FD (Seasons 1-4).

The official synopsis of The Last Stand reads, “Ray Owens is sheriff of the quiet US border town of Sommerton Junction after leaving the LAPD following a bungled operation. Following his escape from the FBI, a notorious drug baron, his gang, and a hostage are heading toward Sommerton Junction where the police are preparing to make a last stand to intercept them before they cross the border. Owens is reluctant to become involved but ultimately joins in with the law enforcement efforts.”
