Edge of Tomorrow Anime Movie Trailer Previews US Release
A new trailer for the Edge of Tomorrow anime movie, All You Need Is Kill, has been released, revealing when the film will launch in the U.S.
When does All You Need is Kill release in the United States?
All You Need is Kill will release in theaters in the United States on January 16, 2026. The movie, which is is based on the science fiction light novel of the same name by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Most famously, the light novel was adapted into a live-action movie in 2014 starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, and renamed Edge of Tomorrow.

“After an unidentified plant from outer space invasion, Rita finds herself trapped in a time loop, forced to relive the same day over and over again,” the synopsis reads. “With each loop, she learns. She fights. Her memories and experiences sharpen her skills, turning her into a formidable warrior. Yet, the endless cycle of death and solitude begins to wear her down. Then, she meets Keiji. “I’ve been repeating this day too,” he says. Two lost souls, trapped in an endless war. Could their meeting change fate?”
All You Need is Kill is directed by Kenichiro Akimoto, who previously worked in the visual effects department for 2010’s Halo Legends, 2011’s Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, 2013’s Berserk: The Godlen Age Arc III – The Advent, 2015’s Harmony, 2015’s Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, and 2019’s Children of the Sea. Akimoto also directed a 2021 movie titled Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko.
