Pixar’s Gatto Release Date Moves Up for Black Cat Movie
Pixar’s upcoming movie Gatto has seen its release date shift, with the movie about a black cat moving up on the release calendar.
When is Gatto’s new release date?
Among a litany of new release date changes from Disney, Gatto will now release on March 5, 2027. The movie was originally set to release on June 18, 2027, but now moves up three months to an earlier release date.
As of now, little is known about Gatto. It will follow a black cat named Nero who is indebted to a feline mob boss. Nero will find himself forced to forge an unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose. At the moment, the studio hasn’t revealed its official voice cast yet.
The movie will be directed by Enrico Casarosa, who previously directed Pixar’s Luca. The film is being produced by Andrea Warren, with Pixar‘s Pete Docter attached as executive producer on the project.
While little is known about Gatto, we do know that it will feature a new animation style for the company. According to Pixar, the film will feature a new hand-painted style of animation that will help capture the Venice-themed location for the movie. After Gatto, Disney and Pixar will next release the highly anticipated Incredibles 3.
The company is currently preparing to release the sci-fi action comedy film Hoppers, and will then release Toy Story 5 on June 19, 2026.
