Steven Spielberg UFO Movie Gets Teaser Trailer, Title, & First Details

The first teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg’s UFO movie has been released.

Spielberg’s next movie, which is being released by Universal Pictures, arrives in United States theaters in 2026. With this being his first movie since 2022’s The Fabelmans, the cast of his new film includes Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, and more.

Details regarding Spielberg’s UFO movie have been kept secret until now, as the first teaser trailer for the film — which has been officially titled Disclosure Day — has been released. Watch it below (watch more trailers and clips):

In the teaser, Blunt’s character is a TV meteorologist who begins speaking in some sort of alien language during a live broadcast. She then appears to join O’Connor in some sort of quest that involves telling the world some sort of truth, while there’s also footage of Firth and Domingo’s characters in there, though their exact roles remain unclear at this time. The trailer appears to have a similar tone to Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival, M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs, and the 2009 movie Knowing with Nicolas Cage; although, knowing Spielberg, Disclosure Day will likely be an experience unlike anything else that’s out there.

The synopsis for Disclosure Day reads, “If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to…Disclosure Day.”

Based on a story by Spielberg, the script for Disclosure Day was written by David Koepp, who previously worked with the Jaws director on films such as Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Spielberg produces the film for Amblin Entertainment alongside Kristie Macosko Krieger, while Adam Somner and Chris Brigham both serve as executive producers.

Disclosure Day will be released in United States theaters on June 12, 2026.
