Netflix Adds Beloved Leonardo DiCaprio Movie Today

One of Leonardo DiCaprio‘s most iconic movies to date has just been added to Netflix, nearly three decades after its massive critical and box office success. This comes after the acclaimed actor recently received his latest Golden Globe nomination (Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy) for his leading performance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another movie.

Beginning today, James Cameron’s 1997 epic romance movie Titanic will now be available to stream on Netflix, giving subscribers a chance to rewatch DiCaprio’s memorable performance as Jack Dawson. The film was also led by Academy Award winner Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater, a 17-year-old girl who’s forced into an engagement for the sake of maintaining her family’s social status.

The ensemble cast also included Billy Zane as Cal Hockley, Frances Fisher as Ruth DeWitt Bukater, Kathy Bates as Molly Brown, Victor Garber as Thomas Andrews, Bernard Hill as Captain Edward John Smith, Jonathan Hyde as J. Bruce Ismay, Bill Paxton as Brock Lovett, and more. Since its theatrical debut, the movie has garnered a total gross of over $2 billion at the global box office. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 255 reviews.

At the moment, DiCaprio is attached to star in Michael Mann’s long-awaited Heat 2 movie with Christian Bale, and in Martin Scorsese’s film adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel What Happens at Night with Jennifer Lawrence. Both projects are currently in the pre-production phase and have no target release dates yet.
