Kevin James Is Left at the Altar in Solo Mio Trailer

Angel Studios has shared the official trailer for Solo Mio, the upcoming romantic comedy movie starring Emmy Award nominee Kevin James.

Solo Mio marks James’ first rom-com in a long while, after starring opposite Will Smith in the 2005 movie Hitch. James has also gone viral on social media recently for his in-character portrayal. The upcoming film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on February 6, 2026.

What do we know about Kevin James’ Solo Mio movie?

“The movie follows Matt, a man whose dreams of a picturesque Italian wedding are shattered when his fiancée leaves him at the altar,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “Matt embarks on his planned honeymoon across Italy alone, immersing himself in the country’s vibrant culture, food, and beauty, meeting Gia along the way.”

Solo Mio is directed by Chuck Kinnane and Dan Kinnane, who previously collaborated with James in the 2022 sports comedy movie Home Team. The ensemble cast also includes Alyson Hannigan, Nicole Grimaudo, Kim Coates, Jonathan Roumie, Julee Cerda, and Julie Ann Emery. The screenplay was co-written by James, along with brothers Patrick and John Kinnane. The movie is produced by Mark Fasano for Nickel City Pictures and Jeffrey Greenstein for A Higher Standard. They first worked with James on Prime Video’s recently released action comedy Playdate.

“We saw Solo Mio, and the feeling was incredible. We knew it was a perfect fit for Angel to release to a broad audience,” Angel president Jordan Harmon said in a statement when Angel acquired the distribution rights to the movie. “Kevin James and Jonathan Roumie bring heart, humor, and originality to this uplifting tale of rediscovery, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience it in theaters.”
