Charli XCX A24 Movie The Moment Gets Meta New Trailer
A24 has unveiled a brand new trailer for The Moment, the upcoming mockumentary led by Grammy Award winner Charli XCX, who will be playing a meta version of herself. The movie will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month, followed by its theatrical release on January 30, 2026.
“A rising pop star navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

Who’s in Charli XCX’s The Moment trailer?
Besides Charli XCX, the new trailer also features the rest of the movie’s cast, including Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, Hailey Benton Gates, Kate Berlant, Jaime Demetriou, Kylie Jenner, Isaac Powell, and Alexander Skarsgård. They are joined by Rish Shah, Arielle Dombasle, Trew Mullen, Sarah Beck Mather, Riana Duce, and Richard Perez.
The Moment is directed by Aidan Zamiri in his feature-length directorial debut. Zamiri also co-wrote the screenplay with Bertie Brandes, based on an original idea by Charli XCX. This marks the “Party 4 U” singer’s first major movie project as the lead. The movie is produced by Charli XCX and David Hinojosa. The creative team consists of director of photography Sean Price Williams, editor Billy Sneddon, production designer Francesca Di Mottola, and composer Alexander Guy Cook.
Before The Moment, the British pop singer and songwriter will first be seen in the upcoming romance fantasy 100 Nights of Hero with Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe. She’s currently attached to star in several star-filled movies, such as Cathy Yan’s thriller drama The Gallerist with Natalie Portman, the horror movie Faces of Death with Barbie Ferreira, and the erotic thriller I Want Your Sex with Olivia Wilde.
