Avatar’s Sam Worthington Gives Exciting Filming Update on Parts 4 & 5

Sam Worthington has offered a promising update on the future of the Avatar series. In a recent interview, the actor confirmed that a few scenes for Avatar 4 and 5 have been shot. Worthington’s comments have sparked significant excitement among fans.

Sam Worthington says they’ve already shot some scenes for Avatar 4 and 5

Sam Worthington has shared new details about the future of the Avatar franchise. He confirmed that some material for Avatar 4 and 5 has already been filmed. Speaking with Collider while promoting Avatar: Fire and Ash, the actor explained that production on the sequels overlapped extensively.

Worthington noted that director James Cameron has been cautious about fully committing to Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 until he sees how the new release performs. When asked about Cameron “wavering” on proceeding with the final chapters, Worthington described the director’s stance as entirely reasonable. “James is not an arrogant man. He tells the story. If it connects, and we’re lucky to continue the saga, I think that’s what he’s trying to get at,” the actor said.

The actor also confirmed that some scenes for the later sequels were captured during earlier production phases. When asked about whether any footage for the fourth or fifth installment has been filmed, Worthington replied, “I think they filmed some scenes with the kids.” He added that Avatar 4’s story includes a significant jump forward in time, making it necessary to film some of those sequences in advance.

Worthington also noted, “It’s a creative process with Jim. I know that he will probably still write on it and tinker on it, and when he’s ready to rock, he’ll call us. But I don’t think he’s saying that for any other reason than he’s just coming off this one, and that’s his focus. His focus is this film.”
