Avengers: Secret Wars Adds Black Panther Star to Cast

A major MCU star has joined the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to begin filming next year. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie serves as a sequel to Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives in United States theaters in a little over a year. Avengers: Secret Wars then follows in 2027.

Who has joined the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars?

Speaking with ScreenRant, Shuri/Black Panther star Letitia Wright confirmed that her MCU character will return in Secret Wars.

“That’s what I have to film next, Secret Wars,” Wright said. “But Doomsday, we finished that, and that was very great.”

Marvel has yet to officially announce the cast for Avengers: Secret Wars. Whether or not they attempt to wait until after Avengers: Doomsday comes out to avoid spoilers or if they’ll do it sometime in the coming months, given that Secret Wars will begin filming before Doomsday and some information is bound to leak out, remains to be seen.
