Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Trailer Previews Hilarious Horror Movie

Searchlight Pictures has shared the official trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2019’s hit horror comedy movie. Starring Samara Weaving, the sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 10, 2026.

What do we know about Ready or Not 2?

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is once again directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream VI) from a screenplay written by original scribes Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. Joining Weaving’s Grace are Kathryn Newton (Abigail), Sarah Michelle Gellar (I Know What You Did Last Summer), David Cronenberg (Falling), Elijah Wood (The Monkey), Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt), Néstor Carbonell (Lost), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution), and Olivia Cheng (Warrior). The movie is produced by Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak.

In a previous interview, Wood confirmed that the sequel takes place almost immediately after the final scene of the first installment, which featured Grace walking out of the burning Le Domas family mansion after successfully surviving their deadly games. “What I love about this sequel is that it really deepens that mythology, so I’m stoked for people to see it,” the Lord of the Rings vet teased. “It’s a movie that takes place almost immediately after the first one ends and enriches everything you love about the original film.”

The 2019 movie also starred Adam Brody, Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell, Melanie Scrofano, Kristian Bruun, and Nicky Guadagni. During its theatrical run, the movie earned a gross of over $57 million at the global box office against a budget of around $6 million. It also received a Certified Fresh score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 324 reviews.
