Jason Statham’s Shelter movie gets new poster
Jason Statham has unveiled a new poster for his new thriller movie Shelter, sharing the image directly through his Instagram account.
The poster places Statham in a tense, action-ready position with a rifle in his hand. He is accompanied by a young girl against a coastal backdrop. The poster’s tagline reads, “Her Safety. His Mission.” The lower corner of the poster confirms the theatrical release date of the film to be January 30, 2026. The debut of the poster arrives just ahead of the trailer, which is expected to drop later today.
The film centers on Mason, played by Statham, a solitary man living in a remote home by the sea. His quiet life shifts dramatically after he saves a young girl during a violent storm. This act of compassion leads to a violent series of events. As the situation escalates, Mason is forced to confront the consequences of the choices he made in the past. The script was written by Ward Perry, with Ric Roman Waugh directing.
The young girl featured in the film is portrayed by Bodhi Rae Breathnach. Other cast members in the film include Bill Nighy, Naomi Ackie, and Daniel Mays, among others.
Shelter is backed by several companies, including Black Bear, Punch Palace Pictures, CineMachine, and Stampede Ventures. Statham is among the film’s producers, joined by John Friedberg from Black Bear, Brendon Boyea, Greg Silverman, and Jon Berg.
Executive producing duties are shared by Teddy Schwarzman, Michael Heimler, Andrew Golov, and Mike Shanks, along with director Ric Roman Waugh. Additional executive producers include Rachael Cole, Volodymyr Artemenko, Yevgen Stupka, Macdara Kelleher, Victor Hadida, Gideon Yu, and Elizabeth A. Bell. (via The Hollywood Reporter)
Shelter opens exclusively in theaters on January 30, 2026.
