Robert Pattinson’s The Batman 2 Gets Exciting Filming Update
Little is known about DC’s upcoming The Batman Part II, but a new update suggests that filming on the production will soon begin getting underway.
What’s the latest The Batman 2 update?
According to a new report from Glasgow World, The Batman Part II is set to begin filming in January 2026. Specifically, production has already reportedly circled in on some locations. The report notes that places like Glasgow Cathedral and the Anderston train station have already been scouted for filming.
While a majority of The Batman Part II will be filmed in England at Warner Bros. Studios’ Leavesden location, they have used Scotland as a filming location for various parts of the first film as well. Specifically, many outdoor scenes were used in Glasgow for the end of the first film.
The development of The Batman Part II has been a long one. The original film was released three years ago in 2022 and was a massive hit. Starring Pattinson as the titular hero, the film made over $770 million at the box office.
According to a recent report, The Batman 2 — also known as The Batman Part II or The Batman Part 2 — will begin production at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London, United Kingdom, on January 1, 2026.
Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman in the movie, while the website lists the returning cast as Farrell, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. It also says Barry Keoghan is “expected” to return as the Joker, though this has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. Pictures as of yet.
