The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort. Other cast members include Jonah Hill as Donnie Azoff, Margot Robbie as Naomi Lapaglia, Matthew McConaughey as Mark Hanna, and Kyle Chandler as FBI Agent Patrick Denham, among others.

The film tells the story of Jordan Belfort, a young stockbroker who quickly becomes one of the most successful players on Wall Street. After founding his firm, Stratton Oakmont, Belfort and his team make millions by defrauding investors.

As his wealth and reputation grow, Belfort embraces an increasingly chaotic lifestyle filled with drugs and parties. However, his activities soon result to investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the FBI. Ultimately, Belfort faces the consequences of his actions.

The Wolf of Wall Street continues to maintain a favorable reviews. It holds a 79 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 283 reviews.

Mark Hughes of Forbes wrote, “With his new release The Wolf of Wall Street, Scorsese has delivered his best work since that seminal mobster movie [Goodfellas].” He added, “DiCaprio delivers a powerhouse performance of complexity and true raw emotion, seeming to melt right into the Belfort persona. At times, he even reminded me a bit of Jack Nicholson. He is surrounded by a fantastic supporting cast.”

At the box office, the film earned earned over 400 million dollars worldwide. This includes over $116.9 million from domestic theaters (via Box Office Mojo).
