A new Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 video offers a full first look at a key villain character.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 arrives in United States theaters next month. Based on the popular video game series created by Scott Cawthon and a sequel to 2023’s Five Nights at Freddy’s new the new film is being directed by Emma Tammi and will see Josh Hutcherson reprise his role as Mike Schmidt.

What do we see in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 video?

Universal Pictures has shared a short Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 featurette video that fully reveals the look of the Marionette, also known as the Puppet. It’s been known that the character will appear in the movie; however, they’ve only appeared in the background and out of focus in the sequel’s marketing material up until now.

“It’s creepy as hell,” Hutcherson says in the video. “I don’t want to meet that in a dark hallway.”

The synopsis for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 reads, “They’re not just at Freddy’s anymore. In 2023, Blumhouse’s box-office horror phenomenon Five Nights at Freddy’s, based on the blockbuster game series by Scott Cawthon, became the highest-grossing horror film of the year. Now, a shocking new chapter of animatronic terror begins. One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first-ever Fazfest.”

The cast of the movie also includes Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa Shelly, Piper Rubio as Abby Schmidt, Matthew Lillard as William Afton, Mckenna Grace as Lisa, Two Briones as Alex, Theodus Crane as Jeremiah, and more.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 arrives on December 5, 2025. The first movie is currently available to rent or purchase on various digital outlets such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and more.
